360 Launches in Australia

3...2....1....XBOX 360!!!!!

So for those of you who haven't been keeping track of what's going on down in the land down under, you might be surprised to find out that the XBox 360 FINALLY launched.

So much for that worldwide launch that Microsoft was talking about as a 360 is still hard to come by in America, and the Australian 360 launch comes about 4 months after the American launch. Regardless, I'm happy for my friends in the land down under, they had to wait very patiently.

It seems like the launch was a success, but it was a pretty subdued celebration filled with Aussie cheerleaders and "hip hop dancers." While only about 50 gamers attended the midnight launch, one gamer bought enough for about 10 men....

"One of the store employees told us that one person had pre-ordered the console and 37 games, which must be the entire confirmed release schedule. "

Somebody is going to be playing a lot of Xbox 360. Just out of curiosity, assuming that everything is priced the same as it is in America, that man spent roughly $2426 on Xbox 360. That's a trooper for you!

In any event, congratulations on the Xbox 360's Australia...you're gonna love it.

Cheers.
