Blue Dragon Sells Consoles in Japan
Blue Dragon may be the Xbox's best hope in Japan: it's a Japanese-developed RPG with art from Akira Toriyama (of dragon balllinks, Dragon Quest, and Chrono Trigger fame), music from Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu and directorial involvement from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi.

With this all star development team it may not surprise you that the Xbox 360 sold more than 35,000 units during the week of the game's launch, compared to a paltry 4,000 or so units sold the week before. I think it's safe to say that Microsoft has a hit in Japan - I only hope that Blue Dragon leads the way for further Japanese development on the Xbox.
