Microsoft had created the rule so that hard-driveless 360 owners would be able to buy games and download them to memory cards, but they now have a new stance. Xbox Live Arcade Group Manager Greg Canessa says: "If any games do exceed 50 MB, it's for a very specific reason that would ensure that the gameplay experience is the best it can be, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one of the most popular games of all time, and you can [bet] that you'll see similar high-quality games come to Xbox Live Arcade in the future."
A demo of the game will be made available, as is Live Arcade tradition, but it will also exceed the 50MB memory card ceiling. Tough cookies for those poor souls without a hard drive, but sweet, delicious, fresh-baked goodness for those with.
