CES: Hands on with Alien Hominid

Lucky journos attending CES are getting to play all kinds of great games, including the upcoming Live Arcade title Alien Hominid HD. Based on the cult-hit PS2/Gamecube game, Alien Hominid HD is a sidescrolling shooter in the vein of classics like Contra and Metal Slug. It's got classic-level difficulty, too: just because it's cartoony doesn't mean it won't kick your ass.

Game|Life says:

The awesome art style and hilarious animation get their chance to Shine in HD, and now you can't blame the resolution anymore when you die. I don't know if anyone was actually doing that, but I've heard all kinds of excuses. Alien Hominid HD is still really flipping hard; I died like twenty times in three minutes.
