Demo

It's not easy to impress me with a first-person shooter. For the most part I think the genre is stagnant -- I've only got so much patience for running in circles holding down the right-trigger or losing over and over in online matches. Shadowrun, being a multiplayer-only FPS, hasn't really been a game on my radar.
You can imagine my surprise, then, when I found myself enjoying this demo: Colorful, non-drab graphics? Flying? Magic spells? What kind of FPS is this? While the demo only features a small subset of the abilities in the full game, there's plenty of cool tricks to try out -- being pursued by the enemy team? Take to the skies with the glider. Take to the skies with the glider, and then teleport through the wall in front of you. Your teammates are dropping like flies? No worries there, either -- cast resurrection and they're back on their feet.
The Shadowrun demo has definitely peaked my interest in a title I wouldn't have taken a second look at without playing -- give it a download and try it yourself.
