With the love Capcom has shown for the Xbox 360 lately -- in the form of the 360 exclusives Dead Rising and Lost Planet -- and the ever-increasing cost of next-gen game development, it's not that surprising that they recently announced that the latest installment in the formerly-PlayStation-exclusive devil may cry series is going multiplatform, and will be simultaneously released on the PS3 and Xbox 360.
We're seeing more and more exclusives turn multiplatform lately and I think that for third parties this kind of thing is just going to become the norm. Games are expensive, and one of the best ways to move copies of a game is to make it available to as many consumers as possible. Which is great for us consumers -- the more great games that are on the platform you own, the better.
