Aiiigghtt!!! EA has confirmed that they are lowering the price tag on new releases for current gen systems to $39.99!

I've never been a big EA fan, but they just went up a notch in my book. (which, to steal a line from Starsky and Hutch, puts them at notch one.)

Honestly, I'm going to stop Drinking haterade for a minute. This really is great news for a lot of people, we all like to knock EA, but the truth is they do make a lot of good games....and they've got a lot of big titles coming out soon- Fight Night Round 3, The Godfather, and if you haven't pirated it off torrent yet, Black. I have to admit, even though you won't find someone who likes EA less than I do, I think this is a great move on their part.

Let's hope other developers follow suit, especially if they continue the charge the ridiculous 59.99 for 360 titles.

I'll throw one back for EA tonight.
