Fatality For Motal Kombat?

All good things must come to an end. This very well may be the end for the Mortal Kombat franchise.

In an interview with IGN, the franchise's co-creator used words like, "final chapter" and "final battle between good and evil." I never though I would see the end of the MK series- and they aren't announcing anything officially...but if we play analyst for a minute, it sure seems possible.

The upcoming game, Mortal Kombat: armageddon, is starting to shape up, they have release the first images, and the developers are hyping it up to be uber epic. It better be the epitome of epic if this really is the last game in the series. There aren't that many good fighters being made these days, Soul Calibur has pretty much gone down the toilet and I've never liked Tekken. Truth be told, the MK series has gotten a bit stale over the past few years, but I'd like to imagine this won't be the last installment.

I don't think it is coming to the 360, it looks like an Xbox only title right now, but details are still sparse- XboxSpace will keep you posted.

No, this isn't the last Mortal Kombat game. It's the last game in the current chapter of MK. They are planning on blowing everything up and starting with fresh characters and a new fighting engine for xbox360/ps3, and a lot of characters will be permanently killed off from the series.
