Final Fantasy XII Gets 40/40 From Famitsu

But it is about gaming, and if you're a gamer this is something you should hear.
Most games are mediocre at best. I'd say two or three truly great games get released each year. Perfect games are extraordinarily rare - a console is lucky to even have one flawless game.
Well, Famitsu (you know, THE Japanese gaming mag) has just released their review of Final Fantasy XII for the Playstation 2, and it was given a perfect 40/40.
A perfect score has only been bestowed on five other games so far:
* The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time (Nintendo for Nintendo 64)
* Soul Calibur (Namco for Dreamcast
)* Vagrant Story (SquareSoft for PlayStation)
* The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker (Nintendo for Nintendo GameCube)
* Nintendogs (Nintendo for Nintendo DS)
I don't agree with the Wind Waker or Nintendogs, but this is putting FFXII in some pretty high company.
It looks like each console is really getting one last hurrah before their replacements roll in - PlayStation 2 got Final Fantasy XII (it comes to America in August) and the GameCube will be getting The Twilight Princess around Thanksgiving.
Don't feel bad, Xboxers - while all your friends are waiting for their current gen titles to come out, you've got Halo 3 to look forward to.
