Godfather: Quasi-Review
I like these little quasi-reviews that I do once in a while. It's a good time.

Not quite a full review, but rather in depth....and very unorganized.

I'm going to try to give a little structure to this quasi review because..well, I feel like I owe it to this game to put a little more effort into this post than usual. So, here it is....

Xbox Space's Official Quasi-Review of The Godfather on Xbox

Graphics:
Decent looking graphics. There is a room for improvement, but at the same time...I'm pretty content with what EA gave me. The game does have its moments where the camera goes berserk and makes you feel like you're getting motion sickness - which is never good. The framerate is smooth for the most part, but during certain moments there is a little bit of graphical slowdown.

Controls:
If you've ever played a GTA game before, this whole game will be very familiar to you. The game offers a nice little tutorial on how to play too, it doesn't hold your hand too much but it does a good job of teaching you what you need to know. At times, I feel like the camera is a little bit close to the back of my player, which annoys me....but other than that, the controls are solid.

Audio:
Okay, as soon as I turned it on and heard that Godfather tune, I knew I was in for something good. However, after that it kind of tapers off. One great thing about GTA (which for all intensive purposes is the mold for this game) is the different radio stations you can listen to while you drive in your car; it really helps to set the mood of the entire game. Well, it's not like that in The Godfather - but that said, it's not necessarily a bad thing either. Gunshots sound okay, but nothing great.

gameplay:
It's solid. Not amazing, but it's solid gameplay. The game is pretty fluid and there are very few moments where you're left wondering what to do. I dunno what to say, it's just like GTA. It's by far the best Grand Theft Auto clone that I've played.

Other:
It's a good game. What can I say. One thing that stands out as being really cool for myself - and I don't know how much this will apply to other people...but the character creation was great! Since the game's main character is an Italian, and all the character models are designed to look Italian I was able to make a guy that looks just like me, it was really, really cool.

Overall:
It's a good game and I recommend it.

After a few hours with the game, my tentative score is an 8.4/10

It's good, and it's worth picking up.
