Prepare your wallets for imminent rocking: associate producer for Guitar Hero 2 Ted Lange revealed in this interview with IGN that GH2 will feature "more online content than anyone has ever seen in a game to this date":
IGN: Can you outline your plans for using Xbox Live to download fresh songs?Nobody will be disappointed? With that $10 premium slapped onto the retail price the only way I won't be disappointed is if we're talking about some free songs
Ted Lange: We're still in the process of confirming the final details and continue to secure more licenses, though nothing has been announced at this time, we can definitely say nobody will be disappointed. We are planning on having more online content than anyone has ever seen in a game to this date.
. Ted also addressed the issue of a 360 wireless controller. Sort of:
IGN: Was there a reason for shipping the 360 version with a wired guitar? If Microsoft won't give them the specs for the internal wireless control I'm sure someone can come up with a USB dongle. Expect this issue to be worked out post-haste.
Ted Lange: Yeah, if we were to cut the wire off it wouldn't work; though seriously, it would be great to have a wireless guitar just as we did with the PS2 version, and hopefully we'll be able to make it happen for our fans rather shortly.
