In Major Nelson's weekly Xbox Live activity report for this week we learn the rather unsurprising news that Halo 3 has knocked longtime king Gears of War out of the #1 most played game spot:

And what's the most played original Xbox title for last week, you ask? Why, Halo 2, of course! Some things never change.
