Last month I asked Tetris Evolution: Why Isn't This a Live Arcade Game?, and apparently I wasn't the only one thinking it — in a recent interview with Gaming Target, Tetris Evolution project manager Rob shepherd let slip that an Xbox Live version of Tetris is indeed in the works:
GT: An Xbox Live Arcade version of Tetris has been rumored for awhile, what features will make Tetris Evolution benefit from a retail release as opposed to being an XBLA download?RS: I can't really speak for the Xbox Live Arcade version. We've known for some time it was being developed, but we don't really have any visibility as to its feature set.
That settles that, then — I'll be skipping this at retail and waiting for the downloadable version. Sorry, Rob!
