Console Wars

I had a teacher once that told me, "Anthony, when you don't know the answer to a question, the answer is almost always 'money,' because in the end, everything comes down to money."
What clear advantage does the Xbox360 have over the PS3? It's cheaper, and since it is expected that the price of the 360 will drop by PS3's launch, it will likely be significantly cheaper come November.
Merrill Lynch - a company that generally knows what they're doing when it involves investing - says that the lower price tag on the 360 will be enough to hold off Sony's competition.
On a personal note, regarding the response that the PS3 has gotten since E3... I really haven't seen many good things written about the console at all. Between ripping off Nintendo''s controller, the uber stripped down core sku, and the astronomical price of $600 for the console alone - the general public, along with gaming journalists are absolutely hating on the PS3.
