Microsoft's launch of the Xbox 360 in japan went far worse than Gates and Co. would have liked, in fact – saying it went 'bad' would probably be an overstatement. Within days of launch, the Xbox 360 was being offered for free when you signed up for cable internet.
Anyway, like the saying goes: "If at first you don't succeed – try, try again." Which is exactly what Microsoft is planning on doing.
It's a little unclear exactly how Microsoft is planning on doing this, but in June Microsoft will be relaunching the Xbox 360 in Japan in hopes that this time, with a more substantial line up, Japanese gamers will buy the console.
Call me Mr. Negative, but even with games like Ninety Nine Nights available, I really don't think the Xbox 360 will ever be a big seller in Japan.
