A new carcassonne expansion called King & Baron was quietly released on the Live Marketplace this week. In addition to seven new tiles the expansion also adds some scoring changes - the player with the largest city is the "King" and gains additional points at the end game for all completed cities. The player with the longest road is the "Baron" and gains a similar bonus for all completed roads.

I'm happy to see an update to Carcassonne but it's already hard enough to find an online game without someone coming along and splitting the tiny userbase in two with a paid expansion. The pricing is also a little weird - 300 MS Points (or $4.75 US.) A bit costly for a small update to a $5 game, no?
