New Xbox 360 Releases for June

Summer is always an interesting period for console gaming. Developers must battle with consumers' desire be outside or on holiday and release games that will have a totally different appeal to those seen in the more prolific sales season in the winter. Below are three of our picks for the month of June.

Real-time strategy on the console is a genre that continues to fascinate us, and every game seems to organically develop the style into something which seems less and less foreign to controller-based play. R.U.S.E: The Art of Deception is released this week, an RTS which boasts the most immersive gameplay in the genre yet, with IRISZOOM controls taking you seemlessly from birds-eye view into the heat of the battle. When we get our hands on this we will let you know the verdict!

The Rock Band series continues with Green Day: Rock Band, as Harmonix do their best to fleece even more money from those faithfully following the franchise Any fan of the genre and of the band will of course find much enjoyment in this game, and if anyone is dedicated enough to fork out the money for it let us know your thoughts!

Just in time for the golf season, yet another game endorsed by Tiger Woods sees its release this week. Pick a side and try and bring home the Ryder Cup against faithfully-reproduced opposition in Tiger Woods: PGA Tour 11. If the last game in the series is anything to go by, as long as certain aspects have been improved upon it promises to be the bench setter in golf gaming.
