Reggie Says Revolution will outsell 360

This isn't exactly hot off the news wire, but Nintendo took some shots at Microsoft this week. Nintendo's executive Vice President of marketing, Reggie Fils-Aime, who you might remember for such lines as, "My name is Reggie, I'm about kicking ass and taking names" has said this week that the Nintendo Revolution will debut before Thanksgiving, and cost less than $300. Reggie also said that the Revolution will sell more units than the Xbox 360 during its initial release.
His comments come after Nintendo's stock experienced a 6.2% increase. Maybe Reggie is on another power trip after kicking somebody's ass and taking their name, maybe the stock's value increase is going to his head, but maybe Nintendo is onto something. After all, we haven't even seen the console
in action, and Nintendo isn't one to make many bold statements. We'll see what happens though; I find it hard to imagine that Nintendo won't run into the same problems as the Xbox 360 during launch. Any new console that is released will inevitably sell out and leave hungry consumers looking for more products that just aren't available yet.Permalink: Reggie Says Revolution will outsell 360
