Guitar Hero fansite HarmonixFans.com received this list of upcoming song bundles from someone they believe to be a trusted source:
Content Pack 1:
"Cowboys From Hell" – Pantera
"I Love Rock & Roll" – Joan Jett & The Blackhearts
"Cochise" – audioslave
Content Pack 2:
"Godzilla" – Blue Oyster Cult
"I Wanna Be Sedated" – The Ramones
"Sharp Dressed Man" – ZZ Top
Content Pack 3:
"Iron Man" – Black Sabbath
"Take Me Out" – Franz Ferdinand
"Smoke on the Water" – Deep Purple
I couldn't have asked for a better example of why this kind of arbitrary bundling is terrible: there is exactly one song in each of these packs that interests me (Joan Jett, The Ramones, and Franz Ferdinand, if you must know.) Why can't I, at the very least, just pick those three songs, instead of the three songs the-powers-that-be have decided I should buy? Do they really think that I'll buy all three packs just to get those three songs? Here's a hint: I won't. In fact, I won't buy any of those packs at all.
