Sony Says Microsoft's Numbers Lie
While Microsoft's boldly claimed that the Xbox 360 outsold the PlayStation 3 2-to-1 the week of the dreaded Black Friday, Sony says that it's just not true:
"It's (Sony Computer Entertainment America) policy not to disclose our unit sales numbers until NPD numbers are officially released which will be December 13th. However, I can assure you that Microsoft's estimates of our PS3 unit sales numbers are way off and they did not outsell PS3 2:1 during Black Friday week", a Sony spokesperson told Seattlepi.com.

Microsoft's 2:1 figure for Xbox 360 versus PS3 sales was according to "estimates from top retailers."
Okay, but don't you think that if they'd actually outsold the 360 they would have just come out with the numbers now? Does saying "sure, they outsold us, but not by as much as they said!" really help them any?
