Sony released this chart after their PS3 press conference last night, they want you to believe that the Xbox 360 actually costs you $700.
Unfortunately, Sony is full of shit, this chart is just flat out wrong. Let's evalute:
Console: Honestly, how many people actually buy the retard pack? Out of the 400,000 PS3 consoles in the USA this November, 80% of them will be the $599 version. I don't think I've even seen the 360 core pack in a store for months.
Requires Users to Buy: All of the systems are good to go out of the box, nobody has to buy anything they don't want.
HDD: Okay, if you do get a core 360, you will need to buy a HDD….but this can be easily solved by just getting the premium box (399), which comes with the HDD, wireless controller, component cables, and a headset.
Blu-Ray/HD-DVD: This is legit. If you're looking to use your console to play High definition discs, this is something to take into consideration.
Wireless controller: The core 360 comes with a wired controller. The premium model comes with a wireless controller. Like with the HDD, if you get a premium 360, this argument is invalid.
Online Access/Xbox Live: They've got a point here, but Xbox Live is a really kick ass service, and we don't know anything about Sony's. To be fair, if it is a good service that is comprable to Xbox Live…Sony will give you the better value.
The bottom line is, don't believe this chart.
