Blizzard revealed the long-awaited sequel to real-time strategy giant StarCraft at a press event in Korea last week. While we're some time away from even beginning to speculate on a release date, we're even farther from imagining when it might come to the Xbox 360 -- here's what Blizzard has to say about the possibility:
Will there be a console version of StarCraft II?Fans may recall that the original StarCraft did make an appearance on consoles -- StarCraft 64 for the Nintendo 64 was released in 2000. While that port suffered from chunky graphics and poor controls modern PC-to-console RTS ports like Command & Conquer 3 have shown that the console version doesn't necessarily need to be the inferior one. I wouldn't count out a 360 port of StarCraft 2 just yet.
StarCraft II is being developed for the PC. We have no current plans to bring the game to any console platform.
