The Xbox Live arcade is one of the most addictive services ever introduced on the console. At first I was a bit sceptical, I thought it was just a gimmick for Microsoft to take more of my money, and it very well may be; but the XBLA has been very successful, Microsoft revealed the top ten most downloaded games, they are as follows:

1. Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
2. Gauntlet
3. Smash TV
4. Bejeweled II
5. Zume
6. Bankshot Billiards 2
7. Outpost Kaloki X
8. Mutant Storm Reloaded
9. Joust
10. Wik: Fable of Souls

They haven't released the actual sales figures, just the rankings; but. According to MTV News, there have been 200,000 trial downloads of the game, and 45,000 paid downloads. The Xbox Live Arcade seems poised to grow and become more successful in the future.
