Kotaku brings us the glorious news that Microsoft (by way of Rare) is bringing the Viva Pinata franchise to the Nintendo DS. Squint your eyes and enjoy these first blurry screens:



The DS port will be based on the original game, not the upcoming party game for the 360, and uses a top-down perspective (with 2D graphics? Your guess is as good as mine.) Look forward to playing Viva Pinata DS whenever it's finished. This is a Rare game, after all.
