The University of California: Santa Cruz has added a Video Game Design major.
It is the first school in the UC system to add such a major.
Personally, I'm against studying video game development in school. I think it's just a scam really.
Not that you won't learn valuable things that will make you a better game developer, it's just that I think getting a degree in something like philosophy, psychology, film - anything as long as it is a well rounded liberal arts education - will make you a much better developer.
I just can't take a degree in gaming seriously, but that's just me.
