Why Are New Games $60?
Filed in archive News on December 21, 2006
Forbes has a great article detailing exactly how that $60 you just spent on Gears of War gets divided up among the many people involved in making, marketing and distributing the game. No one likes seeing game prices going up, but is that extra ten dollars just a consequence of rising game development costs, and not corporate greed?
Well, for Gears of War it's probably development costs. Superman Returns? That's just greed.
