XBLA Wednesday: Gyruss and Golf

No, you're not dreaming. There really are two games coming to Live Arcade this week. And the madness doesn't stop there -- they both look like they might be fun!

First up is a port of arcade classic Gyruss. It's got all the standard arcade-to-Live-Arcade updates you expect by now: online multiplayer, updated graphics, and a 400 points price tag. I know I'm usually pretty down on these arcade ports but I'm willing to make an exception for those that take place in outer space. Luckily for me, there is no version of Paperboy that takes place off of Earth.

The surprise game this week is 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures. Can you guess what kind of game it is? It's got a pretty cool look (more screenshots here) and even includes a course editor. At 800 points, though, I think I'll be giving the demo a spin before buying.
