Limbo is a strange game. It has got fantastic reviews from virtually every single press outlet.. However, the game is only three hours long and has no narrative in the entire game. The game is literally impossible to spoil. You wake up as a silhouette of a young boy and continue running right and completing puzzles until you reach the end of the game… and then the game ends. There is no real pay off or since of accomplishment upon completion. And unfortunately there is virtually no replayability at all because once you have solved the puzzles once the game is a breeze until you can force yourself to forget the solutions.
Limbo kicks off the Summer of Arcade for Xbox 360 at $15 dollars. By all accounts it is an excellent puzzle game, just remember it is extremely short and there is zero story.

Splinter Cell: Conviction was one of the most heavily anticipated Xbox 360 releases this year. This game was in development by Ubisoft for over four years. The outcome of all their hard work was a great game. It offers several different ways to play the game. The single player campaign is about 10 hours of mostly stealth action, but the new Mark and Execute command let's you truly utilize a master spy's power. Mark and Execute unlocks every time you perform a hand to hand stealth takedown. Once you have a mark and execute point unlocked you can target several enemies at once, and when you have them all in your sights you will instantly shoot all targeted enemies in face. This is a very productive skill that the game leans heavily upon. The game can be found very cheap now, do yourself a favor and check it out!

Every time I connect online to play online shooters I here at least a small amount of racism, but how can that be changed? The usual best case scenario is just one or two people screaming the 'N' word, but hearing full on religion wars and terrible racism is not an uncommon happening. Not to mention I hear an amazing amount of racism playing Red Dead Redemption in free mode, too many players take killing Mexican gangs extremely too seriously. Microsoft has proposed a solution to this dastardly problem that plagues Xbox Live. Microsoft's proposal was to monitor all chat on Xbox live and be able to edit out cuss words on the fly. As a writer I get a little bit antsy every time I hear applications of censorship today, but this seems like one instance where something has to be done to improve this "premium" service offered by Microsoft.

Developer Bioware has done it again. They crafted a masterpiece in Mass Effect 2. This third-person shooter role playing game features refined game play and vastly improved graphics. Mass Effect 2 picks up right where Mass Effect left off, even offering the feature to import your save data into Mass Effect 2 from Mass Effect , which effects hundreds of different events. You will run into many old allies from Mass Effect and meet even more new playable characters. Mass Effect 2 also offers thousands of different dialog choices that have major ramifications in the Mass effect universe.
Mass Effect 2 is also supported very well by Bioware. There have been two characters released via downloadable content and several patches to make the game play as refined as possible. There have been two large mission packs available for download and a mission pack bridging the story from the end of Mass Effect 2 to the beginning of Mass Effect 3 is being released soon.
